What free means here

A Mac with Apple silicon, M1 or newer, running macOS 15 or newer, with 16 GB of memory recommended; rendering a human at a smooth frame rate is real work, and it is done on your machine rather than streamed from ours. And a ChatGPT account with voice conversation, which is part of ChatGPT’s own plans; we test with ChatGPT Pro. Facelet is independent and not affiliated with OpenAI.
Free, without the usual catch
Free apps often pay for themselves with your data. Facelet does not: your voice goes to ChatGPT through your own login, the face is rendered on your Mac, and the conversation never passes through our servers. What happens when the seven days end?
